Lori Saine is Weld County Commissioner and formerly served as the State Representative for House District 63, Weld County.  She’s a steadfast, principled Christian who is dedicated to her family, faith, and community.

Family:

Lori and her husband Troy raise their daughter Alexandra in Dacono. Troy Saine worked many years in the oil and gas industry in Weld County and served in the Marine Corps in Operation Desert Shield.  As a family, the Saine family enjoys the outdoors together: hiking, biking, camping and are founding members of the Museum of the American Revolution and the National Medal of Honor Museum. Lori's family includes two girls sponsored with Compassion International, Marvelous and Alberta, both from Ghana.

Faith:

A member of Rocky Mountain Christian Church, Lori volunteers with various church functions including the Shine Prom for special needs kids and adults. She helped found a new faith-based troop with the American Heritage Girls, Troop 0139, named after Psalms 139. She volunteered with Carbon Valley Young Life; a faith-building, Christian youth ministry that helps in guiding kids whose parents don’t attend traditional church facilities. Lori also volunteers for Habitat for Humanity and the Denver Rescue Mission.

Community:

Lori’s passion for youth extends into the community where she served as coordinator and instructor for Constitutional Champions Kids Patriot Camp, a day camp that teaches about the Constitution and American Patriotism.   Lori also teams up with Liberty Day to teach about the Constitution and American exceptionalism in area schools. Lori served as a chess instructor for K-third grade at Carbon Valley Academy and her daughter Alexandra graduated from homeschool.

She has helped charter the Republican Women of Weld group, served on the council for the City of Dacono, Dacono’s Planning Commission and served as Chair for Dacono’s Economic Development Committee.  She represented Dacono at the Carbon Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Carbon Valley Recreation District and the Steering Committee for the SW Weld Economic Development Initiative.

Service:
Lori currently serves as a Weld County Commissioner and formerly as the State Representative for House District 63 and as Republican House Caucus Chair. As Chair for the Legislative Audit Committee, Saine increased the rate of savings to the taxpayer by over 900 percent from previous years, over 600 million by reducing waste, fraud, and abuse in state departments. Saine is also the chair of the American City County Exchange, a national organization dedicated to Limited Government, Free Market policies for local government.

"As your commissioner,  I testified on many bills at the state legislature to make sure our citizen’s voices were heard, often times at nearly midnight to testify on bills that would have crippled our energy industry and sent prices of goods and services soaring.  Bills like SB23-213, which would have removed local planning control to unelected bureaucrats and SB24-159 which would have banned the oil and gas industry altogether. Both were defeated. I also helped advocate bills that saved money for every County in the state by reducing overlapping requirements for road maintenance." --Lori Saine

As the chair of the Hwy52 coalition, Saine facilitated meetings to help communities move together to approve ADA ramps and sidewalk and safety improvements so children, seniors, and disabled citizens could cross Hwy 52 safely to the senior or recreation center. More recently, Saine helped our communities work together on a roundabout in front of Weld Central High School because crashes involving vehicles and school buses were increasing. And Saine successfully requested a study that retimed the lights on Hwy 52 to improve traffic flow and reduce crashes during peak commuting hours. And more safety improvements, widening, and resurfacing for Hwy 52 are coming soon.

As the Commissioner Coordinator for the Weld Faith Partnership, Saine works with the department of human services  to bring the community together to support foster families in Weld County. Commissioner Saine works with the non-profit Colorado's Kids Belong to help communities become "foster friendly" by securing support from business owners and churches to provide wrap around services to show foster families love and to keep birth families from needing to enter the system.

Saine is also working with 60+ rides a non-profit service that offers on demand services for seniors in our communities to get them the care they need to thrive as they age in place.
